Williamson County Animal Center in Franklin raised its humane trap rental fee effective immediately + the new fee requires a $100 refundable deposit if the trap is returned in good working order within two weeks.
The increase aims to cover replacement costs for traps that are damaged or unreturned when used to capture lost and outdoor cats.

Edley’s Bar-B-Que will soon take over the former McAlister’s Deli at 330 Franklin Road in Brentwood as its new 3,800 sqft restaurant is expected to open by year-end and create about 50+ jobs to boost the local scene.
Williamson County issued new business licenses from May 11 to May 26, 2026, per the Tennessee County Clerk.
The licenses cover a range of operations including virtual admin, wholesale bakery, hair services, earthworks, property management, non-emergency transport, and travel agent services in Franklin and Brentwood.
🎭 Culture
On Friday, June 19, the African American Heritage Society of Williamson County will celebrate Juneteenth at Bicentennial Park with reenactments, live music, vendors + food trucks, and family games; guided tours at McLemore House Museum will follow on Saturday.
Franklin’s Movie In The Park series offers film nights starting with Wreck-It Ralph on Friday, May 29 at Fieldstone Park, with further screenings scheduled in June and July plus a holiday showing of Elf on Friday, Nov.
20, and events begin at 8 p.m. or at dusk.

Williamson Medical Center earned an A Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, showing its strong commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.
The center’s leadership said the grade reflects daily risk management and teamwork to protect patients.
