EDUCATION NEWS

  • Page High School held graduation ceremonies from May 21 to May 23 where thousands of seniors crossed the stage. Williamson County Schools shared photos of the ceremonies on Facebook.  Williamson County Source
  • Williamson County Schools announced the Class of 2026's valedictorians and salutatorians, meeting academic and service standards (AP, IB and community service) at local high schools including Brentwood, Centennial, Fairview, Franklin, Independence, Nolensville, Page, Ravenwood, Renaissance, Summit and Vanguard Virtual.  Williamson County Source
  • Williamson County Schools celebrated Centennial High School graduation from May 21-23 when thousands of seniors crossed the stage. The school (renowned for academics, athletics, and fine arts) serves the growing northern edge of Williamson County in Franklin.  Williamson County Source
  • Battle Ground Academy has appointed Krista Parker as the new Head of Upper School. Parker, with over 25 years of independent school experience, will begin her role on July 1 to support academic excellence and a caring school culture in the community.  Williamson County Source

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Franklin invites residents to sign the final beam at a topping-out ceremony on June 4 at 3:00 p.m. at the Public Square — a key step in the new City Hall project that will open in 2027.  Williamson Herald

HEALTH NEWS

  • Health inspectors reported that many establishments in Williamson County earned perfect 100 scores from inspections conducted May 20-27. Food service and pool locations posted their current scores to meet standards set by the health department.  Williamson County Source
  • The Department of Health reported that food service establishments in Williamson County received their lowest scores during May 20-27 inspections, with Gary's Place, Bheema Indian Cuisine, and La Tapatia Mobile scoring 82+89+90 respectively. Each location is required to display its latest inspection report visibly.  Williamson County Source

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Anthropologie is set to open at the former MAFIAoza’s building at The Factory at Franklin—located at 230 Franklin Rd—with updated signage and plans for an accessory Terrain courtyard; the opening date is yet to be announced.  Williamson County Source
