Franklin Police celebrated 13 school crossing guards last week at police headquarters for keeping students safe, and two guards—Lisa Harris and Annie Esmond—received plaques for 30 and 15 years of service as the school year ends.

Middle Tennessee's first Tous les Jours bakery opened on May 29 at 600B Frazier Drive, Suite 104 (former Genghis Grill) in Franklin and operates self serve with croissants, cloud cake, and breads using Asian baking methods, and it is open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Tennessee County Clerk reported that Williamson County issued new business licenses from May 26 to June 1, 2026, for companies in Franklin and nearby areas, including SKE Contracting LLC & Battleground South Cigar Lounge.
