COMMUNITY NEWS

  • Franklin will host a free yoga event on June 21 from 8 a.m. until noon at Harlinsdale Farm to raise funds for Ellie G’s Dream World—Franklin’s first inclusive playground for all children. Families are invited to join in movement, meditation, and yoga at this community event.  Williamson County Source

BUSINESS NEWS

  • The Tennessee County Clerk released new business licenses in Williamson County from May 30 to June 6 and the list includes companies in computer software, food service, construction, and more — reflecting a broad selection of local ventures. Several businesses received licenses in Franklin, Brentwood, and nearby areas.  Williamson County Source
  • Create-it Studios opened its doors today at 3600 Mallory Lane in Franklin inside the Franklin Walmart as a professional recording and podcasting space. The new facility has six work areas for podcasting, recording, and live events — and it will offer free, expert-led workshops for all skill levels.  Williamson County Source

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Franklin Police Department is handing out rear-view mirror placards to remind caregivers to check back seats and help prevent child hot car deaths as the weather heats up. The placards labeled Look Before You Lock were provided by Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett and will be distributed at car seat safety events—designed to save lives.  Williamson County Source
