ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Franklin Fire Department lost Engineer Greg Tucker, 49—who had served for 14 years—in a car crash early Thursday.  Williamson County Source

CRIME NEWS

  • Today at 9:00 p.m., the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office will hold a sobriety checkpoint on Franklin Road near Meadow Lake Road to honor fallen officer Destin Legieza, who was killed by a drunk driver five years ago—officers from nearby departments will also patrol for DUI during the holiday weekend.  Williamson County Source
  • Detectives with the Franklin Police Department are investigating a burglary at a local gun store that occurred just after 3 a.m. June 18 at Outpost Armory on Lakeview Dr—two masked burglars stole two firearms and a third suspect fled in a red Hyundai Sonata or Elantra.  Williamson County Source

  • Today's Photo of the Day shows Luke Combs after his historic Bonnaroo performance in Manchester — he earned 34 new RIAA certifications that brought his total to over 155.5 million certified units.
