- ➤ Today the country music community gathered at Spring Hill Cemetery to honor legendary guitarist Jimmy Capps with a permanent memorial unveiled on the fifth anniversary of his passing. - ➤ Father Ryan High School announced that Stuart Magness and Joshua Lester are the new Deans of Students and Jennifer Allen is the new Dean of Faculty. - ➤ Officer Payton Shinault was sworn in at police headquarters on Thursday afternoon by Chief Deb Faulkner, with his family, friends, and department members present. Raised in Somerville and a Union University graduate with a background as a volunteer firefighter and EMT, he joins the Franklin Police Department with valuable public safety experience. - ➤ Franklin Police Department hosted the Tennessee Brotherhood Honor Ride on Friday to honor fallen Officer Jeff Carson who died in the line of duty in 2022—20 first responders and 15 support staff received lunch and a traffic escort at police headquarters.
