- ➤ Franklin Tomorrow will host three community events in July, including FrankTalks on July 14 at the Moore-Morris History & Culture Center and a 25-year celebration on July 17 at Bicentennial Park Pavilion. At FrankTalks, a coffee social starts at 9 a.m. followed by a panel discussion at 9:30, and the celebration offers live music by The Exotics with a $100 ticketed picnic dinner—residents can also vote for top entries in the 'I Voted' sticker contest. - ➤ A Franklin man wanted for robbery and other charges was captured in Gallatin yesterday when deputies stopped him as he tried to cross into Wilson County—he briefly attempted to evade arrest but was detained without incident. Williamson County Source
- ➤ TBI is asking for help to locate 72-year-old Kathleen Rivera, who is missing from Williamson County—she is 5 ft 4 in, 183 lbs with red hair and blue eyes, was last seen wearing a black shirt and blue jeans, and her medical condition may hinder her safe return so anyone who sees her should call Franklin Police at 615-794-2513 or TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND. - ➤ Officer Marty Carson, who has worked at the department for 22 years, has been named the new Public Affairs Officer at the Franklin Police Department. He will begin his role on Monday, Aug 4 and take over from Officer Ryan Schuman, who will retire on July 31. Williamson Herald
