- ➤ Bridges Domestic Violence Center announced it is a two-year funded partner of United Way of Greater Nashville. - ➤ Fire crews responded to a major fire at 2305 Henpeck Lane in Williamson County on Thursday afternoon after a call at 11:54 a.m. and found the home fully engulfed while all residents evacuated safely—27 firefighters from Franklin Fire, Williamson County Fire/Rescue, Arrington Fire, and the Williamson County Emergency Management Agency worked together to contain the blaze as investigators probe its cause. - ➤ Patrick Baggett, Franklin’s current Ward 4 alderman, announced he is running for reelection this October and pointed to his record of boosting public safety, preserving open space, and investing in road projects + he vowed to maintain fiscal discipline and smart growth if re-elected. - ➤ Franklin city officials bought the final 3.8-acre parcel with a historic home on July 8 for no more than $2,018,000 from Franklin Preservation Partners, adding to 44.5 acres purchased in April for a total of 61.8 acres. They will now develop a master plan to turn the Creekside property into a public park—linking local trails and parks. Williamson Herald
