- ➤ Williamson County lawmakers announced $3,458,100 in state funding for park improvements at College Grove Park and Franklin’s Wilkins Branch Mountain Bike Park, with TDEC administering the grant through the Local Parks and Recreation Fund. The funding will add 40 acres, sports fields, pavilions, picnic tables and an ADA-accessible walking trail to College Grove Park and connect 81 acres with new biking trails and a pavilion—restroom facilities included—to Wilkins Branch Mountain Bike Park. - ➤ Cynthia Stielow is joining OneGenAway as its new Chief Advancement Officer and Marketing Officer to help the Franklin-based nonprofit address food insecurity. - ➤ After 41 years in the fire service including 30 with Franklin Fire Department, Deputy Fire Marshal Wayne Mobley will retire next week. A retirement celebration is scheduled for July 30 at 3 p.m. at Franklin Fire Station 3 (298 Mallory Station Road) where family, friends and colleagues will honor his service. Williamson Herald

- ➤ A luxury residential community called Wyelea in Franklin has hit major construction milestones as section 1 roads and utilities are complete and the first homesite closings have begun. The project spans nearly 600 acres and is starting lake excavation while Phase 2 infrastructure and club amenities will begin construction this fall. Williamson County Source
- ➤ Franklin developers will hold a multi-day design charrette at Grace Church (4052 Arno Road) from July 28 through August 5 to gather public input for a 75-acre Arno Village Concept near the upgraded Murfreesboro Road and I-65.
