- ➤ The Circle of Giving invites locals to celebrate National Carousel Day today at the Carousel of Dreams by Ken Means at the Factory at Franklin with carousel rides from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and family-friendly activities. - ➤ On August 9th, The Southern Whiskey Society will host the Southern Food and Whiskey Experience at The Factory in Franklin, featuring 10 local chefs and 40 distillers along with new VIP options like an Early Entry Cigar Lounge. - ➤ Franklin is building a new City Hall block on Public Square to replace the old building (demolition finished in June). The project will add a three-story office building, a 200-car underground parking garage, and a one-acre park, and it will be completed in mid-2027 (cost estimates now range from $104M to $112M). - ➤ Williamson County Mayor Rogers Anderson delivered his annual State of the County address at noon on July 23 at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs hotel ballroom with about 550 residents present as he reviewed county progress on roads, budgets, and growth plans—scholarships for high school seniors were also awarded. He outlined future road improvements on I-65—engineering phases and construction are set to begin in upcoming fiscal years as the county builds on its strong growth. Williamson Herald
