- ➤ In 2024, Williamson County earned $1.37 billion from visitors, a 3% rise from the previous year, as 8.8 million tourists spent an average of $3.74 million each day—bringing tax savings and over 175 new jobs. - ➤ City of Franklin received a Certificate for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association for its annual report for the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2024—marking the 34th consecutive year the city met high standards in governmental accounting. - ➤ The Tennessee Wars Commission said that the grant cycle for its Grant Fund will open on September 1 with $69,700 available for projects that preserve military sites from the French and Indian War to the Civil War. - ➤ The City of Franklin announced it has hired Walter Denton as the new Assistant City Administrator for Community and Economic Development.
