  • Franklin’s longtime entertainer Tommy Jackson will receive the Award of Excellence from the Williamson County Cultural Arts Commission on Saturday, Sept. 6 at WestLight Studios—1106 Harpeth Industrial Ct.—with an event running from 6—9 p.m. where guests will enjoy drinks, live music, appetizers and a documentary titled Facing the Laughter: Minnie Pearl.  Williamson Herald

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Franklin Road Academy earned the RAIL certification for responsible AI in learning from the Middle States Association. The school is the first in Tennessee and one of only 60 worldwide to achieve the award — a pledge to use AI safely and ethically in its classrooms.  Williamson County Source

  • Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett sent a reminder on Tuesday that all eligible voters must register by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8 to vote in the Oct. 7 special primary for the District 7 Vacancy in the U.S. House—voters can register online or mail a paper application.  Williamson Herald
