  • Franklin author Jared Sullivan won the nonfiction award at the 2025 Tennessee Book Awards for his book Valley So Low: One Lawyer’s Fight for Justice in the Wake of America’s Great Coal Catastrophe, which details a 2008 TVA power plant collapse in Kingston. A Franklin High graduate who spent five years on the book, he said his work aims to push for changes in state policy — focusing on environmental safety and workers’ rights.  Williamson County Source

  • The Nashville Predators announced that single-game tickets for all 40 regular season home games of the 2025-26 season will go on sale Friday, Sept. 12 at 9 a.m. CT on Ticketmaster. Local fans in the regional TV area get early access with 20 percent off from today through Sept. 11 and Opening Night on Oct. 9 versus Columbus Blue Jackets will include an exclusive t-shirt giveaway—ensuring a dynamic start to the season.  Williamson County Source
