BUSINESS NEWS

  • Chipotle is building its third Franklin location at 1711 Galleria Boulevard next to Target at the site of the former Backyard Burger— the new 1,880-square-foot restaurant will include a drive-thru and 20 parking spaces with no set opening date.  Williamson County Source

CULTURE NEWS

  • Pilgrimage Music Festival will return to Franklin on September 27-28 at Harlinsdale Farm featuring headliners and six must-see acts such as verygently, Colony House—making their only local stop—and Franklin native Better Than Ezra while fans enjoy artisanal food, craft vendors, and family-friendly experiences.  Williamson County Source

ECONOMY NEWS

  • AAA reports that Tennessee gas prices fell a penny last week to an average of $2.77 per gallon, which is the same as one month ago and a penny higher than one year ago. Prices vary by region — Nashville is highest at $2.82 while Chattanooga is lowest at $2.68.  Williamson County Source

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Brentwood Academy completed its new Louderback Center for Entrepreneurship today — a 6,300-square-foot space that gives students hands-on areas for business, technology, art, and group work — and held an official ribbon cutting ceremony. The center was partly funded by a generous donation from Scott and Andrea Louderback.  Williamson County Source

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Franklin Transit Authority — inviting local residents, workers, and visitors — is hosting three community workshops to discuss its future transit plan. Attendees can join Tuesday, September 30 at the Franklin Special School District Leadership Room, Wednesday, October 1 at Franklin Library, or Thursday, October 2 at Columbia State Community College, and those unable to attend may also give feedback online.  Williamson County Source
  • Franklin's Board of Mayor and Aldermen approved rezoning plans for the Ovation and Aureum projects on Sept. 23—these developments will add 2,464 dwelling units, 750 hotel rooms and 1.75 million square feet of commercial space along McEwen Drive. Some residents raised traffic worries during public comment while a study led staff to recommend adding new lanes on McEwen Drive to cut wait times.  Williamson Herald
  • Franklin Ward 2 Alderman Matt Brown held the Heroes and Hot Rods fundraiser at Bicentennial Park on Sept. 18 to honor local veterans with classic car displays, barbecue and free admission—over 100 people attended. Brown said the event was meant to recognize military service and stress higher voter turnout for the Oct. 28 election.  Williamson Herald

HEALTH NEWS

  • Williamson County food service establishments achieved a perfect score of 100 from inspections conducted between September 17th and 24th, 2025—health inspectors reviewed each site at least twice a year to ensure compliance with safety regulations.  Williamson County Source
  • The Tennessee Department of Health released health scores for food service and other establishments in Williamson County from September 17 to September 24, 2025 — the scores cover routine and follow-up inspections at restaurants, hotels, pools, and tattoo studios. Establishments must post their latest inspection report publicly, and environmental specialists inspect sites at least twice a year.  Williamson County Source
