- ➤ The Downtown Franklin Rotary Club announced that community advocate Alma McLemore will serve as Grand Marshal for the Franklin Christmas Parade on December 6; the event will start at 1 p.m. and travel along Main Street—she was unanimously chosen for her local leadership. - ➤ Hallmark is launching its Countdown to Christmas with a meet and greet at Amy’s Hallmark in Franklin at CoolSprings Galleria on October 15 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.—local fans can meet stars and shop for seasonal cards, gifts and ornaments. Williamson County Source

- ➤ Sam Fender, a British artist, performed a high-energy sing-a-long show at Pilgrimage Festival in Franklin today — he said it was his first visit to Tennessee in the U.S. Williamson County Source
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Williamson County Mayor Rogers Anderson was honored with the Trustee of Distinction Award from the Tennessee Hospital Association for his nearly 40 years of service on Williamson Health's board—he helped guide a $180 million hospital renovation that expanded key patient care services. - ➤ Franklin’s 2025 Special Census Video Campaign won the Savvy Award for Most Innovative Communications from 3CMA— a national organization that honors creative local government achievements in communications. The campaign, which featured a John Denver look-alike singing a parody of Annie’s Song, marked the city’s third award this year. Williamson Herald
- ➤ Franklin Transit Authority held three workshops from Sept. 30 through Oct. 2 at Franklin Special School District, Franklin Library, and Columbia State Community College to gather feedback for a new 10-year transit master plan. Officials said the plan will be drafted in spring and will use input from the workshops and an online survey open until June. Williamson Herald
