COMMUNITY NEWS

  • The Light the World Giving Machine will return to Downtown Franklin this December to let residents donate needed items through a vending machine. It will be open daily from December 5 to December 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at 231 Public Square — a ribbon-cutting event is scheduled for December 5 at 10:00 a.m.  Williamson County Source

CULTURE NEWS

  • First Presbyterian Church of Franklin invites the community to a free concert featuring the Vanderbilt Trombone Ensemble and local group Bone Therapy as part of its fall Music—Worship and ARTS Series on Sunday, October 19 at 3:00 p.m.—with a reception at Wilson Hall following the performance.  Williamson County Source
  • The 10th Nashville Elvis Festival will be held at the Factory at Franklin from March 19–22 and will feature 10 shows, 3 after parties, a VIP event with a special guest, plus a photo opportunity with Madame Tussauds Nashville’s ELVIS. Headliners include Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Jimmy Holmes and other top tribute acts from around the world.  Williamson County Source

  • This October, Cybersecurity Awareness Month helps families in Middle Tennessee boost online safety by updating devices, strengthening passwords, and setting parental controls—measures that protect personal data during learning and leisure online.   • Find Hope Franklin, an initiative formed by Mayor Ken Moore, will hold its second annual Mental Health Summit on November 7 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Franklin Special School District Performing Arts Center — located at 1030 Excellence Way — with a $20 registration fee; former MLB star Ben Zobrist will serve as the keynote speaker while Franklin Tomorrow’s Mindy Tate moderates a panel and vendor fair on mental health support and local resources.  Williamson County Source

  • Crumbl has introduced a limited-time dessert menu running from October 13 to October 18 that features rotating gourmet treats such as Pumpkin Square and Caramel Shortbread Cookie ft. TWIX®—local customers can visit nearby locations to try these new flavors.  Williamson County Source

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Titans fired head coach Brian Callahan on Monday after team leaders decided his record—3—14 last season and 1—5 this season—did not meet expectations. The team will face the New England Patriots on Sunday at Nissan Stadium.  Williamson County Source
  • The Titans lost 20-10 to the Raiders in Vegas as turnovers and poor offense dropped their record to 1-5—following last week’s win in Arizona. They will face the New England Patriots next week at Nissan Stadium.  Williamson County Source
