ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ The Franklin Fire Department extinguished a dumpster fire behind 334 Main St. on Thursday, Oct. 23—firefighters moved the dumpster to stop the flames from reaching a nearby utility pole, and no injuries or hazardous materials were reported as the cause remains undetermined. Williamson Herald

- ➤ Today, the historic Franklin Theatre hosted the sold-out 7th Annual Morning Pointe Seniors Got Talent Franklin which raised nearly $40,000 for scholarships through the Morning Pointe Foundation — winners included Lucius Talley, Brian Hanson, the duo of Randy Spencer and Cathey Nelson, and People’s Choice winner Gail Valorani. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Williamson County Schools is set to open a state-of-the-art Innovation Center at Franklin High School in August, 2026, where high school students can access career-focused programs. The 26,000-square-foot facility — funded by the Innovative School Models grant — will offer programs in advanced power and machinery, aviation, cybersecurity and AI, fire management, and hospitality and tourism. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ In Tennessee, bicycles and electric bikes are legally considered vehicles so riders must obey traffic rules—riding on the right side, following signals, using hand signals, installing required lights, and for riders under 15, wearing helmets. The law also sets age and speed limits for e-bike classes and prohibits modifying an e-bike to boost its speed. Williamson County Source
