  • Columbia State’s Student Government Association is hosting two Trunk Treat events this week with one event taking place today from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 1665 Hampshire Pike in Columbia and a second event scheduled for October 28 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at 1228 Liberty Pike in Franklin—both events offer treats, games and a family-friendly Halloween celebration.  Williamson County Source

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Paris Baguette is set to open soon in Franklin’s McEwen Northside—its first local location—and will offer a unique mix of French baking and South Korean flavors in the thriving dining and shopping district. The bakery café will join well-known retailers in Block E of the 300,000-square-foot building that celebrated its grand opening in September.  Williamson County Source
  • Truce will open its flagship all-day restaurant in Cool Springs at 1809 Mallory Lane in spring 2026—featuring a drive-thru, a dedicated mobile app, and a community-centered patio. The restaurant will serve chef-driven dishes made with clean, organic ingredients for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Williamson County Source

  • Murfreesboro Police Department warns Franklin families to follow Halloween safety tips as children prepare for trick-or-treating. Parents should supervise youngsters, provide flashlights, use reflective costumes — and accept only prepackaged candy.  Williamson County Source
