GraceWorks Ministries in Williamson County is preparing to help neighbors when SNAP benefits stop on Nov.

1 — about 700,000 Tennesseans are expected to lose access. The nonprofit is urging local donations, food drives and volunteer support to meet the rising need.

Primark, an Irish department store founded in 1969, is now open on the lower level next to Belk at CoolSprings Galleria and offers affordable clothing for everyone in the family.

Centennial High’s Holiday Craft Show will run November 22–23 at 5050 Mallory Lane in Franklin where over 200 vendors will offer handmade goods and seasonal gifts — student groups will sell food, assist with parking, and host reindeer games while tickets cost $7 with VIP options for $20 — all proceeds supporting school educational enhancements.

The Franklin Police launched Home Safe Franklin to help officers quickly find and reunite vulnerable residents with their families when they wander due to conditions such as Alzheimer’s, autism, or Down syndrome—families can register online by submitting essential details like a photo and emergency contacts. Police Chief Deb Faulkner said the program aims to make every minute count during an emergency.

Teasdale Foods Inc. recalled the Casa Mamita Soft Taco Dinner Kit on October 29 due to an undeclared milk allergen, and ALDI removed the affected products from store shelves in states including Tennessee—customers should discard the product or return it for a full refund.

Summit High’s volleyball team won the state title by defeating Brentwood High 3 to 2 on October 24 in Murfreesboro.

Their victory came after a split regular season and hard-fought district and regional matches, with Mandy Shanahan named championship MVP.

High school football teams competed in week 11 on October 30 and today as Thursday scores were finalized and Friday scores will be updated this evening.

Playoffs begin next week and the TSSAA schedule covers ten counties including Cannon, Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Maury, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Wilson, and Williamson.
