COMMUNITY NEWS
- ➤ Franklin Police Department received handcrafted wooden toy chests on Wednesday to start its annual Holiday Toy Drive. The chests (built by Brad Lewis in his final days) will be filled with new toys donated by locals through December 18 at the department’s headquarters at 900 Columbia Avenue. Williamson County Source
- ➤ About two dozen Franklin residents and leaders attended a community workshop Tuesday at Harlinsdale Barn—where city planners and The Lakota Group gathered input on a new preservation plan for historic sites and heritage tourism. - ➤ Franklin High School's annual Mistletoe Market will take place on December 6 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 810 Hillsboro Road and will feature over 100 vendors, food trucks, and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. with proceeds benefiting Project Graduation hosted by the Class of 2026.
