- ➤ Franklin’s annual Christmas parade will take place on Dec. 6 along Main Street at 1 p.m. Organized by the Downtown Franklin Rotary Club, the event will be led by community leader Alma McLemore—its first African American grand marshal—and emceed by Williamson County TV personalities Nikki Burdine and Neil Orne as families gather for a festive procession. - ➤ The Franklin Police Department reminded residents that its free Vacation Patrol Service is available for extra patrols on registered homes during Thanksgiving week to help secure empty properties—officers will check exteriors periodically but the service does not replace basic home security measures.
