BUSINESS NEWS

  • Today, Popeyes opened its first Franklin restaurant at the CoolSprings Galleria food court on 1800 Galleria Blvd. The fast-casual chain is known for its New Orleans-style menu and viral chicken sandwich history — its closest branch is on Nolensville Pike in Nashville.  Williamson County Source

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • On June 26, Franklin’s Board of Mayor and Aldermen and Municipal Planning Commission discussed the updated plans for two new developments—Aureum with 900 dwelling units and mixed-use spaces, and Ovation featuring over 1,500 units and extensive commercial space—with construction beginning soon on the first apartment building. The meeting also examined proposed changes to the flag ordinance following a resident's complaint, with ideas to allow more temporary stick flags during holidays and special events.  Williamson Herald

LIFESTYLE NEWS

  • Labubu Dolls—a summer collectible featured on celebrity handbags—have been spotted today at the Mystery World kiosk outside Victoria’s Secret at CoolSprings Galleria in Franklin. The dolls were originally launched by Pop Mart and created by artist Kasing Lung, drawing high interest online.  Williamson County Source
